What about access to capital for Silicon Beach startups? Chill.com founder Dan Gould: “Capital is mobile.” The panel agrees that if you’re doing something awesome you’ll be able to draw investors from the Valley or NY.
Weather was also a plus: especially for Eyerly who moved Surf Air, and its employees, to LA from Utah. “Most of our employees live within four blocks of the office. They ride bikes to work,” says Eyerly.
